Software Engineer
mTuitive is seeking someone to help create innovative software products for physicians and other medical professionals. Making meaningful, original contributions to mTuitive's core products while working with mTuitive leadership, customers, and design team to refine and communicate requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
Design, build, deploy and maintain resilient features across mTuitive’s product line.
Assure quality by building automated testing for modifications.
Working with users on support issues that are escalated.
Communicating with colleagues, customers, and more as the role requires a great deal of interaction and collaboration. mTuitive will ask for a writing sample during the hiring process.
External, customer-focused collaboration working with subject matter experts, users, and other advisors to develop, refine, and support solutions.
Essential Skills:
Ability to write clean, understandable, and maintainable code.
Analytical, logical thinking with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and in conversation is required. Visual communication skills are a bonus.
It’s less important what stack you know as much as what knowledge, skills, and love for coding you possess. Ideally, you know multiple languages, frameworks and embrace design patterns.

You will work directly with an exciting variety of partners to establish an environment where mTuitive solutions are easy to adopt, immensely valuable to end customers, and beneficial to patients. Interoperability between vendor systems is a popular buzzword in health care, and for good reason. Standards and requirements are established or influenced by professional organizations and industry thought leaders. Newly available technologies like digital pathology, artificial intelligence algorithms, prognostic and predictive molecular testing in medicine, and personalized medicine all benefit from data captured in our solutions. Forming viable relationships with players from each of these categories and making them work together will be challenging and require creativity and strategic thinking.

Quality Assurance Engineer
mTuitive is seeking a Quality Assurance Tester to work with our development team in the design, implementation, and maintenance of various software applications to enhance the quality and correctness of solutions.
Responsibilities will include:
Responsible for preparing manual testing strategy. This includes design, support, planning, and execution for a variety of applications.
Support in the analysis and buildout of automation testing for web applications and APIs where applicable.
Deconstructing business requirements to build out test scenarios supporting quality deliverables.
Detect, log, track and help troubleshoot program bugs through the development lifecycle.
Compose and maintain testing documentation across systems.
Communicating with colleagues, customers, and more as the role requires interaction and collaboration. mTuitive will ask for a writing sample during the hiring process.
External, customer-focused collaboration working with subject matter experts, users, and other advisors to develop, refine, and support testing solutions.
Essential Skills:
Minimum 1 year of QA testing experience.
High attention to detail and solid analytical skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and in conversation is required. Visual communication skills are a bonus.
Proficient in test management software.
Good working knowledge of programming languages or the strong desire to learn.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:

Protocol QA Tester
The Protocol QA Tester works with mTuitive’s knowledge engineering teams to validate automatic calculations created by mTuitive Knowledge Engineers. The Protocol QA Tester will run automated tests to generate the output of these calculations, then work with Clinical Subject Matter Experts to ensure the outputs are correct. This role does not require the creation and maintenance of automated QA tools, only the ability to learn and use them.
Responsibilities
Create test matrices for new protocols with the help of automated tools
Maintain test matrices and update them when new versions of protocols are released
Run automated tests on test matrices
Work with Clinical Subject Matter Experts to ensure accuracy of calculation outputs
Work with Knowledge Engineers to communicate required changes to calculations
Keep test matrices organized and easily accessible by other mTuitive team members
Use the project management tool Basecamp to communicate testing status with team members
Assist team in communicating checklist releases to customers
Required Skills
Strong communication skills: must be able to work in a team and ensure and issues are communicated clearly, comprehensively, and swiftly
Organization skills: must be able to file artifacts using a system that is easy for others in the organization to understand
Documentation skills: must be able to document every step of the testing process, in particular any issues found, in detail
Excel skills: must be able to use Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet program to maintain test matrices
Quality Assurance skills: must understand how to follow a QA process, document test cases, and think and work logically and systematically; must be interested in finding problems and “breaking things”
Logical, scientific, mathematical thinking skills. Courses or experience in a STEM fields are extremely helpful.
Detail-oriented: must be interested in the details, able to notice small issues or inconsistencies
Ability and willingness to learn: must be able to learn mTuitive proprietary tools and software, as well as the team’s process and workflow
Bonus Skills
Experience with using Basecamp
Experience with using the full suite Microsoft Office 365 programs, particularly SharePoint
Clinical background or previous experience working with clinicians or clinical content, particularly in pathology
