El Dredge Fun(d) Run 2022

June 28th 2022, 5pm - 8pm EDT

In 2019, Chris Eldredge was diagnosed with brain cancer. Commendably, Chris and his family have been fighting this cancer with smiles and an amazingly positive attitude. We want to celebrate Chris doing something he loves - running - for the benefit of what he loves the most - his daughters. Last month was Brain Tumor Awareness Month. Chris's coworkers had an idea to organize a small fundraiser at our company. The idea blossomed in the broader community through the help of Chris's friends. We now have a goal to raise $10,000. All of the proceeds from registration, silent auction, and donations will go to a college fund for Chris's girls. The run is the headline event, but don't miss the party! Each of the routes will start and end at Barnstable Brewing on West Main Street in Hyannis. A cookout, silent auction, and general revelry will follow the event - so please, plan to stick around and enjoy a beer and burger and invite others to join us! Sailor's Valentine by Jane Johnson Murphy

History of the Sailor’s Valentine: Sailor's Valentines are a form of sea shell art, popular in the 1800s, when sailors brought them home to their wives, girlfriends, mothers, or sisters. Most Sailor's Valentines were made in the West Indies, on the island of Barbados, between 1830 and 1880, but production continued into the early 20th century.

Flameware Tray from Scargo Pottery
