Remembering Dr. John M. Cummings
Dr. John M. Cummings recently passed away at the age of 78. He was a dedicated physician who spent many years as a pathologist for Cape Cod Hospital. Dr. Cummings was integral to the development of mTuitive's xPert for Pathology system, working alongside his friend and colleague Dr. William O'Toole along with many of mTuitive's developers. His was an expansive knowledge of medicine that was only outpaced by his willingness to share that knowledge and his dedication to improving his craft. His contributions were many, not the least of which was being a good friend and exemplary mentor for many on staff. Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to Cummings' family. We haven't just lost a great pathologist, but also an excellent human being.
Bread and Music by Conrad Aiken
Music I heard with you was more than music, And bread I broke with you was more than bread; Now that I am without you, all is desolate; All that was once so beautiful is dead.
Your hands once touched this table and this silver, And I have seen your fingers hold this glass. These things do not remember you, belovèd, And yet your touch upon them will not pass.
For it was in my heart you moved among them, And blessed them with your hands and with your eyes; And in my heart they will remember always,— They knew you once, O beautiful and wise.
